First thing to do is select the profile for your project then, determine the connection method needed for your project. For instance, the 45x45 profile is a very common size and available all around the world. Many times the gusset with fasteners is a fast and simple connection for joining the profiles together into a frame assembly.
One connection feature that you might appreciate is the drop in t-nuts. They can be installed to the t-slot at anytime and all you do is drop them in the slot. Drop in t-nuts make it very easy for you to attach brackets, bin holders, switches and other devices. The t-nuts turn and lock as you insert and rotate the screw. Bosch T-nuts are much easier than having to pre-load nuts into the ends of the profiles as you do with other brands.
